Description
Holyrood Abbey is a ruined abbey of the Canons Regular in Edinburgh, Scotland. The abbey (which is sited in the grounds of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, which it predates) was founded in 1128 by King David I of Scotland. --Wikipedia

I was astonished how many ruined abbeys exist in the north of U.K. And I was astonished about the fine grazile architecture of the ancestors. It is a wonderful catch, Tom. Great POV, too

WOW! Amazing shot. I love the architectural details and the sense of monocrhome; I can see greenery from the trees, but I get the overall sense that this is a black and white photo. Marvelous capture. It's moody too. What's not to like about that?
