Description
Another shot of the swimmers on New Year's Day. They all looked like they were having so much fun. Btw, this apparently started several years ago by a few guys one New Year's morning. There were all sitting around, hungover, and decided to go for a swim. The rest, as they say, is history!1

Crazy cold, LOL. I think I'd have to have a drink or two to get up the nerve to do this! Every year at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire they have the Penguin Plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics. It started out small but has really grown to thousands. Some people from the police dept. where I work participate every year. The water is so cold that they have rescue boats and divers in the water to help anyone who needs it. Hopefully this year it won't be snowing, LOL!
They do it here in my city since the 1950's i did it when it became 2000 an amazing event when 100.000 people run towards the sea..
