I can feel that intense Florida sun blow-torching me as I look at this. I lived in Venice, Florida (near Sarasota) for two years in the late Nineties, and made a trip to Key West with a friend in 1997. Interesting place. I believe this sign, or one similar to it, was there when I was. I like this picture a lot, and it's a nice dedication to your friend.
