Description
Names were changed to protect the innocent. You may be familiar with Nelle's older sister, Nebraska.
I won't say when or who, but I have seen "Ray" squirm a bit when some obvious 'lita alarms go off. I worry about these kids!!
On a related note... I am testing the waters here. You may have guessed that I'm hoping to do a series of indeterminate length about characters who are over six but under eighteen. A "real world" person once said that for someone of my age and gender to be writing comics about kids was creepy enough on its own. I'm just glad that "Archie" is written by a group of teenagers. *shakes head*
So... I don't think this particular page is offensive, but I'm trying to figure out just what people think is OK and what isn't OK when it comes to images containing kids. What is "seductive and provocative" (TOS) to one person might not be to another. A bathing suit? Looking directly into the camera? What is the threshold?
No one knows for sure, and that's why most people avoid posting ANY pictures involving tweens/teens. To be smacked with a Child Image Guidelines violation, possibly for something I don't believe is inappropriate, would be crushing. Odds are very good I would never render a child again, and fairly high that I would never return to this site.
So, I'm scared. I never know what will offend people with regards to kids. WHAT TO DO??

People get offended way too easily sometimes. And I have known a few young teens who used more makeup than most adults, and some of these teens could actually pull it off. Luckily I was married at the time, so I never had the opportunity to mistake a 14-year old for an 18-year old, but it can happen. Now I sound like the old fart that I am (those kids nowadays!) :)
it's so funny, b/c this is how I feel when I go to a store. either moms are looking younger or kids are looking older, and sometimes it's hard to tell who's the mom and who's the daughter. the sad part in that scenerio is the daughters usually act more mature than the moms.
Hilarious! Thinking about it - guess it depends. Twelveager like her can be found now and then, and they occur conspiciously often in TV shows. It's one of the laws of evolution, isn't it?
lol very nice
Great approach to the subject. As for a series about this age group, I don't see a problem with it. As Picard would say, 'Make it so!'
So right on target! Funny, but sad too - is it any wonder this world is going down rapidly!
I love the expression of MrGorf in the 3rd panel. You won't know until you try and a single violation won't kill you..unless you already have a few to your name. Maddona's kid would fit this catagory.
Fine serial! Looks OK to me.
Your expressions of shock are priceless. You know, the only place I've ever seen young kids that look like this is on tv, and more often than not there is some freaky fame obsessed parents behind them. AS to a series, even if you keep it pg13 there's bound to be a complaint somewhere along the line. If you keep that in mind, you should do ok I figure.
