Description
... big fluffy white clouds in a blue sky. The sort of clouds that can bring a summer storm.
I did a little post-work ;)
I reached a milestone with my previous upload, "Cake Balls". #500. I didn't even realize until Auntitk pointed it out. So we start 2011 with 501.
Happy New Year!

What a beautiful spot!! I LOVE places like these with the pools of water and the layers of rock! Love the clouds reflected in the water too!
Excellent way to start the New Year! Great shot and congratulations on going over 500
Looks like a cool place. Has an escher quality to it. I'd be tempted to remove the top, crop it to just below the first person's feet.
Stark lighting contrasts, beautiful clarity, reflections and ecru and aquamarine colors in this sterling image, Melinda! Could be in many different places on this planet.
I love how you captured the pools of water and the earth tones are gorgeous
...and there was great color!
great foto.
a wonderful place!!!!!
I'm slowly catching up, and I have to say that both image and title grabbed me here. There is a kind of incantation-like quality to your title, a little bit like something Ray Bradbury would have written, and well, how cool is that!? And then there's the picture itself. It's full of brilliant life and delicious contrasts. The sky and clouds are such nice, cool colors and then there are the earth tones that warm it up and keep the whole thing exciting. The shapes are amazing. The reflections and the water remind me of some sort of a gem...sapphire with something opalescent in its nature...one of those rare oyster sapphires (I just made that up) or something. This is really great, and the little wall of green in the back is really a great way to like the earth/sky tones. Yeah, I like this! HA...and the rock face to the left reminds me caramel.
