Description
This is gypsyangel's new hot guy, Silas--I think he's slated for Daz, but I got to play with him too;) He renders so well--I'm planning on stealing his texture for her Men of the Night morph set, too.
Now if you think the fence looks a bit fugly, it's my fault--that is a perfectly good transmapped chain link fence by 3dcritter, but I lit it from the back instead of the front, so the links rendered as flat shadows, and instead of re-rendering it with a front light, I painted all those little buggers by hand. Chain link fence is like a basket weave, not a simple criss-cross. Needless to say I won't be hand painting chain link any time soon again--this took me around six hours.
Silas' clothes are from Daz: powerage's Ghost Agent.

Great work on this exciting scene Lynn, and what a cool idea he had
I just found it... HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty cool! Happy new year my dear friend!
Wow, really a fine image. And an interesting perspective of problems overcome with the old Wacom.
very cool :-)
The fence actually came out better than you though Lynn - interesting scene :)
Gorgeous!!
It's a very interesting guy... Hope he will not be nabbed...
~I may seem silly for asking, but why not re-light and re-render? Anyway you did a bang up job of painting links! I admire your persistence! He's a good looking fellow and is on my wish list, but I doubt I could ever get him to look as dashing as you did here!~
wow. i am absolutely blown away by your patience and determination. i don't think i would have made it tot he top of that mountain. great job on the pose; he really looks like his in the middle of sneaking over a fence. and cool idea to have him use a piece of cardboard to shield himself. i think if the background had a little more value contrast, it might make the image pop a bit more. that said, it feels like an illustration, like it's part of a narrative with a concrete location and events. which is really impressive with such an impressionistic background. a very good use of a good looking character.
I've got a copy of William Gibson's novel Spook Country sitting not too far from my computer as I type this comment and I am--as usual--making all sorts of associations. This is--in a sense--a kind of Gibson-ish image in that it's dark and brooding, featuring a dark haired guy climbing a fence he probably shouldn't be climbing...and he's likely to either meet an ex-CIA spook, or in a more futuristic way, about to get a rather nasty downloaded neruo-jamming dose of bad data from the guard dogs on duty. Oooh, there's an idea...I think I'm gonna do some writing tonight. This image rocks. I love it.
superior work and he is a handsome character.
I see you haven't lost your touch at all, beautiful work...as always.
Not just another pretty face, he's resourceful too! Great render!
