I long for the days when Christmas was as simple and gratifying as just having a tree to decorate. Fortunately, I'm not THAT old to remember those times, but I can dream.

Beautiful scene! I love the rays and the way they light up the tops of the trees and the edges of the clouds. Lovely composition, detail, and mood. I like the two birds. The thing I remember most fondly about Christmas past, is lying on the carpet, talking to my sisters, with Christmas music playing, and watching the patterns caused on the wall and ceiling by the blinking on and off of individual lights on the tree.
Sorry I missed this wonderful work and it really does bring back memories for me too. Excellent lighting and snow too.
