Description
Happy birthday Linda! (I know it's a day late, but the render took over 24 hours to complete...)
Rendered in Vue 9 Infinite. Signature in Photoshop CS3.
Craig
This is the second in my light ray series, based on tutorials by AsileFx from C3D. Yesterday was the first opportunity I've had in over two weeks to surface briefly for air - finishing off numerous projects while preparing for a new job starting in January - I'm going back into the teaching full time. Exciting, but also daunting...

BEAUTIFUL image for a MOST KIND and WONDERFUL 'LADY'! (Now, what does one get a '25' year old woman these days?)GRINS.
Wonderful scene and dedication, Craig!!! Happy Birthday, Lin!!!
It's beautiful, wonderful light rays.
Should we call you Professor Faroutsider? Good luck with the teaching gig. Seems like you don't need any luck with Vue rendering...just a faster computer. Excellent scene.
~Wonderful realism, and the morning light is marvelous!~

I almost didn't see your nymph. But then, that is what they're good at, after all. ")

Wow! This is fantastic!
I can hear the smile That taught the birds To sing a tune Out in the woods Each way a place Hidden from view Where to go Where to walk Under the trees To fill the water That drinks the thirst Upon a thank you From a soul to smile Through and out Warms the eyes =============== Thank you me dearest friend A care is out there to and fro To surprise and warm the core That brings the realization Of what friends are for Have a wonderful rest of the week, Craig Sweet kiss on the cheek, Linda oh, Good Luck :-) and how exciting nervous would come to me mind too

Great light and scene.
Splendid landscape!!
Nice forest scene
Such a beautiful piece! I love the shadowy figure greeting the day. Such lovely work for Linda. Belated birthday wishes!
Though there are other images here that I want to catch up one, I'm doing one per gallery today to give my wishes for the holiday; I'll be back for more after the holiday. It's a pleasure to send wishes to you for this year's holiday & new year, esp as you're returning to teaching after the first! Re the image, I have never commented on linda's work, but have always much appreciated both her art & her very articulate & heartfelt words, even in her comments. And this is a beautiful image for her. You've painted daybreak by painting a huge looming forest with only a piece of sky at the top---making the daybreak dramatic and 'entering', like a long awaited guest who finally showed up shining. The light is beautiful as is the looming forest which seems deep & thick (fine detailing inside). I'll use this image to wish you & your loved ones a beautiful holiday, and a great new year ahead with lots of light and inspiration in the coming year. And much thanks for your always illumined gallery and your wonderful support & comments, to me & to everyone else you touch here. The image is deep & mysterious, and the light is beautiful, and I wish that light for you & your loved ones. Happy holiday to you! And a wonderful new year...I'll be back for more soon...
Fantastic contrast!
Beautiful dense forest. Nice work!
