Description
Roll-out
Today marks the start of my next ABIS (America Back Into Space) story arc.
Rolling out once again from the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASAs Kennedy Space in Florida is Hercules, the huge multi-engine super booster conceived by Robert L Carter and built by NASA to launch its heavy and super heavy payloads into Earth orbit.
Riding atop Hercules today is the ML Test Article, the largest payload that Hercules will ever be asked to lift aloft into low Earth orbit.
Whilst Hercules was designed to lift a wide variety of different payloads into space, it is the ML series of payloads which it was specifically designed to launch into Earth orbit.
