Description
I am writing a book featuring these two, here is a bit of it.
The Shadow Lands
Book One
The Eastern Province
The small bell over the door rang with a thudding ring, as of a bell to many times wrong. The portly lady looked up from the counter, annoyed by the interruption. The retort she had planned to voice went unspoken as she spotted the pretty miss standing at the door. The dark brown riding trousers hugged the slim legs as though custom made to fit. The long sleeve tunic traced the outline of the shapely torso. Long dark auburn hair framed a pretty face, smudged with the grime of travel. The green eyes gazed around the room, as if assuring her she was in the right place. Spotting the innkeeper, the new arrival moved towards the counter. The portly lady knew from the clothing that this young miss was of means.
“ May I help yee missy?’ The innkeeper smiled. “The name is Summer, I do believe my lodging here has been pre-arranged?” Summer said returning the smile. The innkeeper nodded. “Yes, we have been expecting yee. Your room is as directed on the top floor, facing the rear yard of the inn. Less morning noise, and it is the best room on the floor, I assure you.” The portly lady brought out a ledger. “If yee would sign the book please, I will have my man see to your bags.” Summer lifted the feather quill and began to sign in.
The innkeeper strained to look upon the floor behind her. “We were told yee would have a pet with you, a dog or some other?” she said. Summer finished signing the book. “Ha Tannis is people shy and can’t be coaxed into a building where they congregate. He has found his own lodgings I believe.” Summer chuckled. “As is his ornery want.” The innkeeper nodded, and thought to herself. “One less mess to clean.”
The thudding bell rang again, as a stable hand opened the door and peered inside, nodding to Summer as his eyes feel on her. “Your baggage is unloaded miss.” He said as she approached. She handed him two cooper crows. “Thank you good fellow. Tell your boss I will be around to see him tomorrow.” She said as he took the coin, eyes wide. “Thank yee miss,” he exclaimed as he swiftly dropped the coins into his pouch. He hurried out the door a grin wide on his face. Two days wages for an hour work.
The inn’s handyman arrived to get her bags. Summer helped him get them settled into his arms and led the way upstairs to her room. The innkeeper watched as she ascended the stairs. “Pretty that one, sure to be trouble,” she thought.

Great scene.
I've got limited time, it's thanksgiving, so, I didn't catch the story, sorry... but, I love the picture, everything looks sweet - the only thing I'd suggest is to put a few spot lights on blacky to show off some detail, maybe a blue light - on dim just to show some detail.
very cool... shame you didnt post all of this on S-E as well.
Nice character and render. Nice intro
