Description
Oggi ancora una foto del laghetto dei cigni a Viareggio , la città dove sono nato e dove ho vissuto per oltre 40 anni.
Today even a picture of the swan pond in Viareggio, a town where I was born and where I lived for over 40 years.
Voglio accompagnare la foto con le parole di una poesia scritta da un poeta italiano.
I want to accompany the photo with the words of a poem written by an Italian poet.
Un albero di un bosco
chiamò gli uccelli e fece testamento:
lascio i miei fiori al mare,
lascio le foglie al vento,
i frutti al sole, e poi
i semini a voi.
A voi poveri uccelli
perchè mi cantavate la canzone
nella bella stagione.
E voglio che gli stecchi,
quando saranno secchi,
facciano il fuoco per i poverelli.
A tree of the forest
called the birds and made a will:
I leave my flowers to the sea,
I leave the leaves in the wind
the fruits in the sun, and then
the seeds to you.
To you poor birds
because I sang the song
in the summer.
And I want the sticks,
when they are dried,
make a fire for the poor ones.
