Description
I work at a food bank & thrift store. I see people coming in asking for help with food, utilities, rent and other issues as well as buying clothing and housewares (the monies from these sales goes right back to buying some food items)
I get to see the those who are homeless and close to homeless.
This scene shows a young fae who has been forced out of her homelands due to human encroachment into her lands and is now living on the streets. If she is lucky, she'll find her way into Fae Valley where she will be welcomed with open arms and hearts.
I just wish it was the same in the real world.
A simple plea if you will: if you hear of a food drive in your area, if you can, please give non-perishable food items. You'd be surprised how far it can go.
Thank you

very touching scene! I work for Walmart, and the store gives thousands of dollars to "Feed my Lambs" food bank in our area every week! It makes ya feel good to do good, and help the poor! fantastic image!

Splendid composition and colors my friend
beautiful work
These days with this economy the truth is this is happening to people very close to home, even to those who have always made a decent living and lived in expensive homes. It is a cruel reality and I personally know some people who thought they would never be in this situation and are. It is a horror to lose the home you have worked so hard to get, to lose a lifestyle you have become accustomed to. Losing your job or business is hard enough, having to support a family and you can't is worse. I live in a very well off community and people here have lost their businesses and homes. It is sad to drive in through the guarded gate and see that your neighbor is gone. It can happen to any of us. @springmang, I am sure the faes have heard about work, their company went bankrupt and fired them all!!!!!! A great message Mike, we just never know what these people are going through. If we can we should help! Great image btw! One of your best!
What a heartwarming image and narrative. We did just that yesterday and today was a box to the troops in Afghanistan. The troops out in the field cannot stop by the local CVS to pick up cough drops, bars of soap, eye drops, hand sanitizer and basic things that we take for granted. Dana
Well said Mike!
Even in the desert. & this is NO place to be homeless. So sad... "(
wonderful sentiment and living in Stuttgart now I know there are homeless right outside my little room and should really be thankful for a place to lay my head at night. hopefully it will be a quick and not too cold of a winter.
Beautiful image for a beautiful purpose Mike
