Description

MB3D/PSP Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are always appreciated. I noted yesterday someone (I think it was Stick) mentioned wondering how deep he could zoom with this program and still maintain clarity. Len had said vitually you can zoom as deep as you have processor power. So this one was an experiment. it is a very tiny section of yesterdays image. This is zoomed at 585 times and as you can see there is nothing given up on clarity. It did take longer to render than usual but not anything unyielding. So my opinion is Len is 100% correct in saying if your processor power was strong enough you could zoom to infinity and not give up any clarity. By the way i was happy to see both Mike and Stan pick up on the the Douglas Adams reference on yesterdays image. Yestrdays Image: thumb_2136107.jpg

Nice work on this experiment Jim, it really is filled with a lot of fine detail no matter how much you zoom in ;)

Nice zoom!! I sometimes zoom until things start to disappear or get to fuzzy. POVy plays a big part also. Just don't fall in as you zoom.

What a very great result with zoom. Really stunning, Jim. This image is even more beautiful. Wishing you a nice, warm weekend by -21, WOW! Two great jobs you've done: this fractal, and digging the snow ;D

Excellent work, great clarity and detail, this would be a great one to experiment on the DoF option too. Calculate DoF fom the outer edge then from the inner parts and watch the changes in clarity and lighting. The only limitations to MB3D are patience and Processing Power, you should see the stuff the Real Masters produce at FractalForums. Peace

Very good work for someone in training!!! You appear so interested in learning different techniques in fractal art. This experiment is awesome. Have a good week-end too.

I always think of it as an endless voyage with new discoveries around every corner. For example your rendering today is obviously the same subject as yesterday but I would not have thought it was a part of the same image. Notwithstanding all of that, it is a beautiful image, Jim!
