Un-Friendly Neighbours On the very edge of farthest Imperial space lies the Argon Confederacy, a loose association of worlds less in number than the Imperium but appearing to cover nearly as much of the vastness that is eternal space. For years relationships between these two interstellar neighbours have been on the brink of collapse because of the Confederacy’s un-official policy of allowing pirate raiders to use its boarders to cross over into Imperial space. It is only the threat of the vast Imperial fleet, with its awesome firepower, which has kept Confederacy from launching its own incursions into Imperial space. But from time to time the Confederacy does appear to provide additional material support to the pirates by re-supplying them on their mutual border with the Imperium as would seem to be the case today as what is quite clearly an Argon supply ship can be seen moving away from one of the carriers used by the pirates to launch their incursions into Imperial space.
