View on Império from Cinco Ribeiras, Azores
On the Azores you find a lot of churches and little chapels (Império’s) . These Imperio’s are typical for the Island Terceira. Usually these Império’s are “stand alone” however the Império from Cinco Ribeiras is integrated into the houses around the square alongside the church. The brown-ocher decorated building is the Império!!!
On the photo the little square alongside the church of Cinco Ribeiras , this little village is approx 10 kilometers west of Angra do Heroismo.
