...or the hard way.
This is one of my earlier iPad sketches. Not an old sketch by any means, only older than my recent sketches. What was my point?
Had some fun experimenting with the colours a little on this. I know a blue highlight on brown isn't going to set the world on fire, but I was still cutting my teeth and was quite proud of these results (still am, in a way).

Interesting style of composition and technique!
Beautiful piece. But I'm not sure about the shadow direction considering the light source. You may check out my new works.
My light sources are always all over the place and technically inaccurate. It pains my brother (be most vocal and useful critic) to look at some of my images :). It also annoys the hell out of him that correct light sourcing doesn't bother me! :)

gah! i didn't even think about it, but now that i notice it, it bugs me, too. i can see why you're so gleeful about it, because it's irking me in a stupid way. i really want to move the shadow. i can tell this is one of your early efforts (your strokes look more certain now), but i can also see the stylistic connection to your other works. especially in how you shade the suit.
I like the fact that the background has different shades of blue on either side of the shadow.
