Description

There are a few well-known "lake monsters" or dragons; Nessie of Loch Ness, and Chessie of the Chesapeake Bay spring to mind. I have not been privileged enough to witness those two lake or sea dragons, but I don't doubt that they are there... So, it was much to my surprise when we went to Lake Moomaw last week that I spotted this! Mind you, the lake is very low... Moomie (as i'm calling her), turns into a twisted wooden log when she's out of water and dries out... but once the lake rises once more, she will be free to swim the lake, guarding the children who come to swim in the cooling waters.
