Description
Trying to get to grips with realistic lighting in Max. Modelling/texturing/lighting by me in Max (apart from the chair and stool)
There's something bugging me about the lighting but I just can't put my finger on what it is so any help gratefully received!

wow, stunning.. the light is very realistic the subtle shadows under the chair are great the composition strong it reminds me of that speaker ad by Bose... I think it was by them... the guy being blown back in the chair. very strong image
Looking great, maybe the lights are a bit low in height, outstanding work so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice scene, good render, well done.
Superb work. The floor is stunning. The lighting, mmm. Too many sources, it would appear that there are two daylight sources, left/right.The spots are strong but they are not illuminating the objects or the floor. The shadows seem wrong as well....well you did ask.Don't get me wrong, i actually think is a great scene better than i could do, well it would be i don't use max !!! Perhaps try with just the spots and see what happens :-)
I see six lights in the scene....two coming from each side...perhaps windows....the three spots from the wall sconces, and an overhead light which appears to be providing the shadows. Is this correct? The overall effect is quite realistic, I think.
Very realistic. I like it.
Nice work!
