Description
In the Flint Hills in Central Kansas, you'll find some of the only remaining tallgrass prairie. This is land that's never been plowed or farmed.
Where I was standing the grass was about five feet high.
The schoolhouse in this image is made from local stone, as are many of the buildings in that area.
You can learn about the tallgrass prairie HERE ... Do check it out!
Yesterday we had a lovely, relaxed day, taking pictures and playing. It was a wonderful break after all the work we did over the past couple weeks! I think we only drove about 250 miles. Today we'll be driving most of the day. Time to get seriously moving along!
