instead of leaving the picture alone, like I normally do (I try to stay away from postwork) I jacked up the contrast and saturated the heck out fo this photo to the point where it is nothing like the original!

Well keep in mind that the human eye sees a dynamic range that is far, far more vast than an 'untouched' photo. So leaving a shot 'as is' and saying it's exactly like you saw it is a paradox...thus the reasoning behind tone mapping!!!!!!Nah just kidding I know what you mean. I was just watching a vid on the subject and the guy was pointing out how we as humans take sight for granted and no longer notice the amazing 'resolution' of looking out our own eyes. Also how amazing it is that our eye can instantly go from super wide to telephoto in an instant, for example when watching a baseball come towards us! Sorry but I find all this stuff interesting!

Hmmmm, I like the color in this version, but I think I prefer the other version for it's realism (I'm thinkiing it was taken in fall, not high summer?)
