Hi there.
This one is a Phyllopertha horticola. They are common here and always nice models. His friend sitting on a leaf I will post next week.

What a beauty! He reminds me of the ancient Egyptian god, Khephra (only Khephra was a dung beetle.) Marvelous colors and clarity. This is brilliant work as always and I love the subject. What a cooperative model. These guys are fairly common in Chicago too, but they don't stand still long enough to photograph. Great stuff!
