Lovely shot Kim, I am sure someone will have the answer.
Interesting image and fantastic details! :)
Wow This looks Alien! Great Capture.
Excellent Capture, I love the clear details
A funny shot, Kim. We call it, (when I translate it directly in English) 'a potato-Bovist'.
It looks like the Pod from the Invasion of the BodySnatcher Movie...LOL..Excellent Shot
Interesting shot and beautiful composition !
WOW That is a lovely puff ball :-) Beautiful clarity and I like the clover behind it.
amusant!!
I dont know if American funghi is dramatically different to British ones but it looks like Scleroderma Citrinum (Common Earthball) that we have here. If it is then dont eat this - poisonous! Great capture Jim!
It looks like something from the sea!!!!
A very interesting capture Kim, great shot!
Nice find. You were lucky.
great and wonderful composition
Used to love popping the Puff Ball fungi where I lived as a young girl..all the powder (spores) would go everywhere..grew up on an island so any bit of fun we could find was a bonus...can only go swimming in the sea for so long before you get bored with that.. Very clear close up...beautiful capture..
looks big enough to kick like a ball.outstanding focus
Loved to jump on these as a kid. Great spot and shot. Dana

A great find and capture. I had one of these last year and it grew huge but I couldn't get a good capture as it was in a dark place.
