Description

This is the larva or caterpillar of the Peleides Blue Morpho. The blue part of its name comes from the vibrant blue that you can see when the wings are open. Say now, you're giving Andrea some strong competition with your insect shots, Dana! Stellar macro of the hairy, multicolored caterpillar and environment. This one looks like a junior sized version of one of the colorful dragons that you see undulating down the street during a Chinese New Year celebration.
