Cool and interesting capture, Jock. Looks like no one maintain the place. A bit of a shame, since this is the last resting place for some.+5
the ground must be very unstable there also like around 'Orleans.excellent capture
I agree with magnus073 - incredibly emotional image . . . !
Super shot Jock :)
And all this took place in full view of te freeway and nobody does anything about it. Sad. Thank you Jocko for documenting this. Dana
triste,bonne photo!
This is so sad. Your shot holds within it a lot of passion for those who have passed.
REALLY INTERESTING SERIES!
There is so much I could say regarding this capture. But for me this place just isn't the venue to express what I have to say. Regards
I love that you take these shots and post them. It seems odd that these are wrecked. The rest looks run down but not destroyed. I would love to know the story behind this. It is sad and I wish they were repaired. Maybe one of the literary among us can take this photo opportunity and write the story (fact or fiction), and with the proceeds, fix the graves. Hmmmmmm.
Cool clarity, composition and depth in this capture, Jock. Maybe the graves were hit by cannon fire back during the Civil War.
A shame , very sad to hear what you say here , hope everything gets better soon , many thanks for your visit and comments ,Jocko !
Sad!!!
It looks like its location is by the freeways... cool shot!
Great capture of a sad scene Jock!!!!
i would be upset if i was the family of this persons grave, so sad. thanks for sharing jocko.
Remarkable work!
It is very interesting to me to see your images of Lake Charles. The only graveyard I've been to in LC is the one that is near the I10 bridge which you posted some pictures of earlier. I used to go to graveyard working when I was a child. It was at Big Creek Cemetery near Pollock, Louisiana. It is out in the piney woods and is where a lot of my relatives are buried. There the people who got together would take care of all the graves. But it was a small and close knit community. It is a shame when cemeteries aren't kept up, though the rest of this one doesn't look too bad. I wonder what happened. Perhaps it was as you guessed and the fence was repaired. Excellent shot! Great composition. I like the lines of the highway in the background.
