Background - me Vanguard - To Protect & To Serve Vanguard – AKA: Adam Cross Vanguard was created to be an ultimate warrior. He was built to be immune to disease, poisons, and most importantly the lack to be feed and watered. Genome, a super villain from the Palladium Universe, created him as an ultimate fighting machine. The plan was to make an Amy of Vanguards to take over the world. It would have happened, but the ever vigilant super hero team The Impossibles broke into the lab. They defeated Genome and handed over his lab to the authorities who discovered the Life Bath Tube for Vanguard. After the authorities examined the figure in the tube, they decided to activate the sleeping figure to see if it was sentient. When the clone, a good word for him, was activated its memories were a blank. The authorities placed him in a learning center and he was taught to speak, read, and how to use his known abilities. They discovered early that he was super strong, and could fly. Those were the powers they concentrated on first. After the training was completed, he was sent out to the field. They named him Adam Cross, a Detective in the Star City Police Force. He was paired with another Detective whose honor code, and determination for Justice inspired the new hero. While fighting a time traveling/dimensional super, he felt himself be pulled into a vortex when he attacked the villain, and he passed out. When he awoke, he was in Khatm. Seeing there was a lack of supers to help out the city, he quickly placed himself in the local police force as a super willing to stop the dimensional demons that where invading the city. Khatm became his new home and beat. Additional information – Skeletal & Muscular System – reinforced to support weights. Both bone and muscle have been genetically engineered to withstand extremes. Nanites help repair torn muscles and fractures in bones. They are designed specifically for his genetic code and where part of his building blocks – literally. Flight Genome managed to incorporate an anti-gravitational device into the embryo he had created. The device was something he had stolen from a research lab. The device was then integrated into Vanguard by the nanites. It is impossible to remove. Genome planned to clone the base Vanguard for his army, since all Vanguards would have the base abilities as part of the genetic structure. Any additional powers? Genome might have added some other powers into his structure. It is possible that regeneration is a very viable power. In the extreme, Immortality is possible. The nanites are programmed to adapt Vanguard to any situation. As the ultimate fighting machine, he was meant to fight anywhere, anyplace, human, and super. An entire Army of Vanguard was supposed to take over the world with Genome as the leader. Complication – If Genome appears, his genetic programming will make Vanguard willingly protect and serve him.
