mikeerson challenged me to do a xmas surreal piece. Gotta say it was fun. My assurance to him however is that traditional cards will sell better commercially for me then a surreal christmas card.
(I know its early for xmas...but not for those of us who are creating stock for it. We start long before Halloween lol) but.....
What do U guys think...will xmas surreal sell?

This is beautiful and attractive.
It is nice. A high key image with a full range of tones. It has a nice clean look and well crafted. After this summer we could use an early Christmas.

It's gorgeous! Personally I'd buy it, but I think you are probably right, most folks wouldn't, lol. Although with the right caption inside... "Capture all the beauty of the season" ... some might only notice the beautiful background scenes, and not the wires poking through the fingers. ;) Beautiful work, and a challenge well met.
I don't know, seems bordering on traditional more than surreal IMHO. Throw in some Mushrooms and Cannibis plants instead of Trees and you could prolly get a decent return by selling them in Head Shops. Peace

This is quite conventional by your standards - until you notice the skin flayed away from the fingers, of course. Very beautiful too. But I'd agree with many people here - way too early to be thinking about Christmas
