Ok, so this is my second significant attempt at an outdoor scene. I'm a lot more happy with this as it satisfied a lot more of my expectations of what I wanted this image to produce.
I had to pull out some old tricks (like the way the sun was done) from some really old scenes I had done five or six years ago.
This is also my first use of the surface replicator. This is a pretty neat gizmotron! Lots of rocks really easy!
Plus, I used my new technique for adding moons to the sky.
So, this is one single render. No post work, no matting, no zip. Just from Carrara to Renderosity (well, ok, I did open and resave it with a little big of image compression to get it to manage the size requirements for rendo.
I hope you enjoy it. I still have a lot of things to learn to do outdoor scenes.
