Description
Another shot from the falconry center. This is a Crested Caracara from Mexico. A very noisy bird that had been hand reared. So when he was given to the center he had identity problems. He is imprinted and thinks it's human! The instinctive behavior is still there underneath. It is a snake and lizard eater in the wild. It goes crazy pulling and biting boot laces!

Gosh, what an ID crisis! Poor chap, but he must be fun to meet!
What a beautiful bird! Excellent shot!
Is it any wonder these children grow up to be dysfunctional? Shoelaces indeed! hehe Wonderful pic Kevin. He has a look about his face which puts me in mind of a Dodo. Quietly confident of being petted.
SPLENDID bird ! Good explanation!
A lovely capture of this interesting bird, who is really strutting his stuff.
