Il Consorzio di bonifica Versilia-Massaciuccoli opera su un territorio di competenza che ha una superficie amministrativa di 38.052 ettari, compresa per l'80% nella Provincia di Lucca (Viareggio, Massarosa, Camaiore, Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Serravezza e Stazzema), per il 17% nella Provincia di Pisa (Comune di Vecchiano) e per il restante 3% nella provincia di Massa Carrara (Comune di Montignoso).
Il Comprensorio Bacino Massaciuccoli Pisano è costituito dal territorio compreso tra le difese idrauliche del fiume Serchio, la Macchia di Migliarino, il lago di Massaciuccoli e le pendici dei monti di Vecchiano e Massaciuccoli. Buona parte del territorio necessita di scolo meccanico, in quanto la quota dei terreni è inferiore al livello del mare di circa 1,70 m. Le acque del lago, attraverso il canale Emissario, il Fosso Barra-Barretta e il canale Allacciatore di Massaciuccoli vengono immesse in un sistema di canalizzazioni da cui nel periodo irriguo si attinge l’acqua per l'irrigazione. La zona circostante il lago Massaciuccoli, nel 2003, è stata dichiarata area sensibile e zona vulnerabile da nitrati
CONSORTIUM OF RECLAMATION VERSILIA - MASSACIUCCOLI
The Consortium remediation Versilia-Massaciuccoli operates on a territorial jurisdiction which has an area of 38,052 hectares administration, including for 80% in the Province of Lucca (Viareggio, Massarosa, Camaiore, Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, and Serravezza Stazzema) to 17% in the Province of Pisa (City of old) and the remaining 3% in the province of Massa Carrara (City of Montignoso).
The District Massaciuccoli Pisano Basin is the area between the defenses of hydraulic Serchio the stain Migliarino Massaciuccoli lake and the slopes of the mountains of old and Massaciuccoli. Most of the district requires mechanical drainage, as the proportion of the land is below sea level of about 1.70 m. Wonderful colors! In America we would call the boat a swamp buggy, used for gliding over the marshes and shallow water. Beautiful blue sky and landscape. Splendidi colori ! In America noi chiameremmo la barca una palude calessino, utilizzate per scivolare oltre le paludi e le acque poco profonde. Bellissimo cielo azzurro e del paesaggio.
