Rainy day, so time to work with Terragen again.
Terrain made with World Machine.
I've tried to create a surface that looks a bit like volcanic ash. I've not used any texture layers. Thank you for viewing, commenting and rating. Suggestions are appreciately welcome.

great terrain, the moon needs to fade to black opposite the sun. Or maybe rotating the axis would help it settle in

Great tetxturing in the foreground - just about photo-realistic. My only quibble is that the horizon is lighter than the zenith, (impying the light source is very near the horizon) but shadows on the rocks indicate the sun is at an 10-11 o'clock position
