Description
A young mage, recently graduated from the Wizard's College, is out in the world on his own for the first time. He knows he has powers that can protect him from various dangers--but they are largely untested powers outside his college. A sound outside has disturbed him, forcing him to investigate. There are all sorts of dangers in the world at large; especially in the dark. One has to keep up their guard. His mule is grazing peacefully. Everything appears as it should be. However, it is dark. A bad feeling scrabbles up and down his neck.
"Who's there?" he calls out; and in his ears he can hear his uncertainty and vulnerablity.
______________
I really wanted to capture the young wizard's inexperience and vulnerability. I'm fairly pleased with the result. Hope you are too. Started out with one story in mind and ended up with a totally different result. Ended up having to totally redo everything in the picture, too. Think it was worth the extra trouble.
Thanks for looking and for your previous comments on my last posting.

wow well posed love the lighting, and the whole thing comes together well.
Yeah, he looks nervous and inexperienced. Very nicely done!
Nicely realized image. Fine work with Vue. Well done.
Excellent image!
Scary looking scene !
bonne image!!
Excellent scene! :)
Very well done indeed! My first thought in seeing the title was to say "knock Knock". Second .. to trust his Ass. If his ass dont care then his arse is at no risk. :-)
Nice story...Cool Scene!! -Will-
Very good! I agree that if the mule is at peace he should relax a bit but still stay alert Excellent scene
Well, it's already been said : " trust you're ass and watch you're arse!"...this works and it works well.Twighlight pictures are so hard, I'm heading towards night time blitz in my BoB series and dreading this. If I can come half way close to what you have achieved here, I will not be unhappy...Again you present a picture that compliments the narrative or a narrative that compliments the picture and I think it's that 'either way' that makes the difference and presents us with a quality experience overall.
I do agree with the comments about trusting the mule. Unfortunately for our nervous young mage, he is equally inexperienced about mules!
Wonderful work
