Hi all - This picture is a bit symbolic of how I feel right now. I'm the 'black warrior' fighting against a variety of life issues.
In summary, here's what's been challenging me lately. I have two kids with 'special needs' - my daughter has Aspergers and ADHD and my son has autism issues and ADHD. In the past week, both have been acting up at either school or daycare. My son got a 'suspension' for being 'disruptive' in Kindergarten. Sheesh - he just started! He got into a mood and became defiant. I had to remove him from school for the day. My daughter for the past week has been having issues at daycare - beating up on other kids. I had to pick her (and her brother) up from daycare early tonight. She hit someone with a chair and a rock and a stick. Sigh. I just wish things would improve. But it's a daily struggle.
So when I fall behind on comments, please keep in mind that sometimes it's because I have issues going on with the kids... or work... or my mom. Gosh, life can be a pain.
Well, I value you guys and your friendship and your comments and everything else. Just wanted to share. Thanks for 'listening'.

Its a wonderful Image !! It must be hard with two kids that have special needs, you must be a very strong person that can handle it. I guess it is tough for the kids in school and daycare when they need to change the days that they are used to have before they started. And hey, Dont bother if you cant make comments, The kids are first prio =) Hugs Mona

You sound to be having a bad spell at the moment and it must be so hard when you have times like this to have to cope. I'm sure you do feel like this warrior lady this week and I hope by creating her it has allowed a little sanity to return to your life. Remember we are all here when you need time out and don't worry about missing a few comments we just love seeing your beautiful work.

Splendid illustration ! Life is a battlefield... Don't give up my friend ! You can explain your kids violence and bad temper won't solve anything and perhaps they will listen. I know life is difficult sometimes, but the sun will come back soon !

cool, cool scene, lori...just love how you handle color ;) i am truly sorry to hear about the situation with your children...seems like an ever increasing number of little ones are suffering from one thing or another in our country...i firmly believe it's all the crappy chemicals that surround us each day...stay strong and take one day at a time, lori...and never feel you have to apologize to anyone...we do understand.

Art is often an escape or a reflection of our mood. That is what make each gallery so interesting. You certainly have a full plate; never worry about you web friends - we certainly understand how difficult things must sometimes be for you. I like the contrast with the black and orange. The skulls over all the ground is excellent touch!
