I forgot that I could post this now...it's my entry into the Dystopia contest. Scot Briton had led a successful and happy life, at least for a Dystopian. He'd grown up in a normal family, had done well in school, had gotten married to an amazing woman, and was on a promising career track. But luck can change quickly in Dystopia. Scot's wife got cancer and treatments did nothing but add up in medical bills; Mrs. Briton died, leaving Scot a single father with a mountain of debt. He found himself working nights as a barkeep just to break even. Unable to afford a babysitter or nanny-bot, he had no choice but to take his son to his unsavory workplace. I recommend viewing full-size as there's quite a bit of detail here. :) EDIT: Oh, and sorry I haven't been around more. School's started and I'm an English major/history minor. Lots of reading and writing. ;)
