Gosh, Helle, at full size those mouthparts are fearsome! what a magnificent shot, WONDERFUL! I watched a facinating programme last night all about the Danish coast..so good! Watch it here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00tl54h/Coast_Series_5_Denmark/

Brilliant macro. Chirpy little insect isn't it!!!
magnificent macro!
Amazing detail - superb shot
Fantastic detail!
Fantastic photo !Great details and colors !
One of the things I like about grasshoppers and leafhoppers is their complicated mouth parts! This little lady has a very complicated mouth; it looks organic but also so mechanical! I love the details. We don't exactly have this breed in the USA and so it's quite interesting to see. We have leaf-hoppers that look almost similar, but they are usually longer and skinny. This is impressive, and I agree that one can never have too many grasshopper shots!
Awesome macro, superb details on this hopper! :D

oh no, i am amused, had one in my beedroom last night:) great macro and wonderful green!!!
Great shot of this emerald creature.
Such glorious detail! You know, looking at this sort of thing up close, it isn't hard to see where sci-fi alien-makers get their ideas for makeup. Amazing!
I had to come back and see this after seeing the gilded version! What a beauty and what intimidating mouth parts. Like Andrea, Chip, and Tara, I became fixated with her mouth and thought of Sci Fi aliens. Superb detail, color, and light! I love the leaf, which looks like a ribbon. Lovely shot!
