Description

Just playing really - trying to get some inspiration to work in 3D again. I had the pose and figure and thought how boring. No emotion, bland setting, overall, the making of the image was rather boring. After some thought, I decided to think of a story which might help it come about. My thoughts finally came to the idea of a Drow who discovered a light spell and wanted to try it. With their obvious sensitivity to light, I didn't think burning was appropriate. A bit of a disheartened grimace at the brightness might be more realistic, sort of the shining at someone who's spent hours in a dark room thing.

I think this is a magnificent piece. The colour and lighting are really nicely done and the spot light effect is perfect for the mood you've set and concept. The effects, too, add that nice 'mystical' element to the whole thing. Really, really nicely done.
