Description
Today's slim pickin's ? - I think not !
There were close to a 150 very ripe grapefruits be to picked - one basket just wasn't big enough, believe it or not - from one tree ! and all ripe at once, so waste not - want not - we gave most of them away, to friends, neighbours, retirement villages, and some other charitable institutions !
***
Last months flavour were Tangelos and before that Pummelos and we always have an abundance of Limes and Lemons.
***
Now, I know, they are not to everyone's taste and flavour but they are full of goodness, incredible juicy and apart from eating them on their own, also lovely in mixed drinks...wish I could share them with all my Rendo friends !
Cheers *BB*

What a marvellous thing to grow!! I wish i was your neighbour..but then I should be growing them too! I wonder if you could find a recipe for perfume from them.
Wonderful capture! you've the green thumb!
I'm glad that these fine fruit will find good homes. Seems that we have a lot of 'em here (Tucson, AZ) and they just seem to rot on the trees as there's little demand. Nice shot and ... bon appetit.
Lovely lot of fruit and nice that you share with your neighbours.
A beautiful photo, Brigitte. What a luxury, so much fresh fruits from your own tree. It looks great, so as to bite. Take care, I'll steal one from you (or two) ;D.
yum yum!!!!...great shot!
Great shot and a great use of the fruit. I like grapefruit in drinks and some just for eating.
All that yellow, it makes me happy just to see it and of course, I love grapefruit!
Great shot. Fresh citrus is always a treat.
great shot!
outstanding, precious harvest
Fabulous capture! Great looking fruit!
Wow- thats a lot of grapefruit, very cool when you can produce your own food on your land! Cool capture too!
Bigger basket huh ? I think you might need a truck instead ! Sorta like 'it's raining Grapefruit'...but that would hurt, unless you have an iron umbrella ! Vibrant colours and nicely composed capture ! ~Cheers~
You certainly have a great feast here and I like this photo of all this golden beauty. You live in a great place to produce all this fruit. We stick to apples, apricots, cherries and grapes down here, not that I actually have any in the back yard though. Lovely of you to give the excess away as I'm sure it is appreciated.
Fantastic shot.

Nice shot.
I love grapefruit! I'd hate to have to eat my way through 150 of em though! (They thought they could imprison me in grapefuit, but I ate my way out!)
