Description
Queen Murian is the same person depicted in my previous posting. Thought you might like to see her more close up and personal. May do a few more postings featuring her; although, not too soon. She's in her mid-50s. Her physical beauty is starting to fade; although not too much yet. Men still see her as attractive. However, what inspires them is her spirit. She's leader, not a follower, and she is loyal to her people and expects their loyalty--something that sometimes has been betrayed.
Murian tries to embrace those she has conquered, rather than to punnish them. Her rule is as light upon them as they will allow her. As a result, some of her former enemies are now her most loyal subjects.
She does not throw away the lives of her soldiers or subjects lightly. Their loss grieves her deeply. Nevertheless, like most good commanders, she can order her troops into battles that she knows will be very bloody. She can sacrifice that which she most loves--her army--for the greater good, if necessary. In each battle, Queen Murian is at the front of her army, showing that she is willing to sacrifice herself for their good as much as she expects them to sacrifice themselves for her welfare.
Her rule will be considered by her subjects as a "high water" mark in their history.
