Description
Where the strip Lynchets and chalk of Saslisbury plain, give way to the Greensand of Somerset. White sheet marks the official end of Salisbury plain.

It appears to me it's possible the sheep are standing lever due to a terraced hillside? In any event, love the strong diagonal in this image.
