Description
This woman, dressed in historic ‘” WEST FRIES” clothes with the lace cap and with golden head ornaments is wearing so called : “chatelaine’s” on her dress
A wonderful detailed siccor, the silver purse. I’ve created a photocollage, with the siccor left, enlarged on the right side.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for your kind comments, take care, smile and have a colorful and creative day.

Quite nice collage and historical picture
West Fries would be the northern part of Noordholland? Variations of this dress are found in Friesland and others of the northern provinces of the Netherlands. When I still lived in Holland (and that is close to 40 years ago), people in Urk and Staphorst still used similar dresses as their normal clothing. Don't know if they still do – haven't been in those places for years.
wonderful image! outstanding work!
I love this great collage and her outfit really suits her.
Stunning Cornelis, to show them here! Bravo West-Friesland!
I must say I adore this .. and hope that you show more of the traditional dress in just this way, showing off the details so well and in such an artistic manner.
