Description
One of the benefits of photographing precarious city rooftops is that you get to see places you would never know were there from the ground! This looks like a nice place to have some breakfast before descending to the jungle below. Its amazing to me just how much of any city is hidden to those who don't step off the well beaten tracks. Zoooom for heaps more detail.

bonne photo!
Very interesting capture, beautifully done!
Yep, looks like a great place to me.. Away from the 'Rat Race!'.. Cool shot.. Rob
Yes its a good concept and gives an otherwise hidden view of things, isolation in the middle of anything but. And yes Andrew i think the rock in my picture is indeed Basalt. Keep clicking.
Nice shot - I'm always fascinated by these types of shots looking down on the tops of urban areas. You find interesting little things like this. Well done.
Wonderful capture, Andrew
Back roads, alleys, rooftops--they are give us the sights not seen if you don't take the extra step. I love this--and that roof does look like a great place to morning coffee, afrternoon tea, evening wine!!
I love looking at the roofs of the highrises around my office. There is so much going on. It must be a unique feeling to dine in the open air 12 stories above the bustle of the city... Great shot.
A wonderful place to get away from the stress of the world, great capture!!!!
Another fantastic composition! I love those fabric sail shades.
It is amazing what you can see from a few stories up and well caught. Dana
Well spotted and captured my friend.
This and the previous post "Urban Roof Tops" are really interesting shots, I love the lines, angles, light & detail in both. However there is one thing that I think could be (fairly easily) improved. There is some blue & red fringing here which is evident at the highlight edges, as the lens quality drops off away from the centre. Look along the black & white bands either side of the glass door (bottom left) to see what I mean. I'm not sure if you use photoshop, but if you have Adobe Camera Raw later versions, you can remove chromatic aberration in the "Lens Corrections" tab. This is quite often a problem for me with the 5D Mk11 & "kit lens" (24-105mm) pics, and ACR does a great job of getting rid of it. Hope you don't mind me posting this here, but you made me laugh out loud with your comment on my last post, so I thought I'd try and say something helpful! Sorry if I'm "teaching you to suck eggs"... Or message me if you want some more info. Cheers & keep up the good work, Steve.
