Description
here is wher two office shares a room. they diff in each one but this photo was the best of all the office quartes I saw. I hope I got it right. I no sailor at all. I think I be at the rails most the time sea sick. Any way I do not know if they would had photos up on the wall like you see here. I know this is for diplay to show how life may be on the ship.
I like that machine on the dest too. I do not think it a type writer. If it is i never saw one like it.
Never was in the arm forces but I do like them and all. Respect of what they stand for and all.

great image here jock I have seen some of this kind on the Queen Mary in Long Beach here and it's totally amazing to me ::
bonne photo!
Great capture! Some cramped living quarters for two people (I think maybe some prison cells are more roomy)!
times have changed, that's for sure!! now there would be a laptop, AC, and a cell phone or two lying around!!
Cool image.
Excellent presentation, Jock!!!
Great nostalgic shot.
Excellent capture! Very cramped!
looks like 3 beds. excellent lighting Jock
Amazing how three people could fit in there. Cannot say it is even "cozy," either. ;c)
great serie !
Very tight space..... Nice shot. Aloha
Super shot Jock!!:)
You have made this a wonderful tour..seeing it through your eyes!!
It looks a little cramped. Great shot!
Love the picture in a picture!
WOW! These are the fancy quarters. They even had a sink. Dana
I do not imagine they care to spend much time in these quarters nice and tidy as they are. That machine looks like an adding machine to me. Wonderful series you are doing. Great job.
I'm pretty sure that's a code machine, not an adding machine. Talk about cramped, wow.
fascinating!
The first thing I noticed in this shot was the label "VENT SUPPLY" Which just shows how cramped life on naval ships can be...sleeping quarters are usually squeezed in between other things! And this is a great photo! I really like the details you captured, and I'm curious about the old fashioned adding machine sort of device. I'm not sure if it's an adding machine at all; it could be some kind of code machine as well. At any rate, this is a very interesting photo that gives quite a glimpse into the life of the USS Kidd as well as life on board that vessel. This is marvelous!
Thanks for sharing
Excellent!
It looks rather more comfortable than the last image. I remember going from London to Edinburgh in a sleeper train many years ago. When I first walked into the compartment and saw how tiny it was, I thought there was no way I'd be able to sleep, but I actually slept pretty well. I just looked through all your ship images and really enjoyed them. Thanks for the great tour. Excellent shot!
