Description
"...A brother is born for adversity."
Solomon Islands, 1942. I modelled the New Orleans class heavy cruiser (textured as the USS Vincennes) to provide a big brother for BeyondVR's WW2 destroyer (on the right) in fleet scenes such as this- rendered in Bryce 6, postworked as a contemporary photograph using Photoshop.
The ship in the distance (three funnels) is the Australian County-class heavy cruiser HMAS Canberra. Both cruisers were lost in the Battle of Savo Island.
The Canberra is still a "work in progress" hence its distant position. I'm still collecting reference material to figure out its wartime details, secondary armament etc.

Magnifique travail.
Really nice postwork. Well done.
First rate Naval history imagery!!!
Your models are great!! Good picture, even if worn (time does these things) ;)
