Description
A simulated lithographic print, such as might had been published to celebrate the Perry expedition in the mid-Nineteenth Century. "Loo Choo" (sometimes also "Liu Chiu") is the very outdated European transliteration of the locality... the Ryukyu islands
The model I've used before (Artist-3D free download: 3ds file, USS Constitution ) but this time converted it to a side-wheel "steam frigate" by adding a smoke stack and paddlewheels modelled in Shade 8. Rendered in Bryce 6.3. Then, in Photoshop, a number of filters applied and combined to produce a colour tinted "lithograph." The staining layer comes from a scan of old paper.
