Description
Normally when I start my hikes, I would take one picture to begin and another when I reach the lava flow to give me an idea of how long the hike took. I took a picture, put my external flash on my belt, put on my backpack, turn on my gps, turn on lights, adjusted my trek hiking sticks and off I went. About 5 minutes into the hike, I realized I forgot my camera. Grrrrrr. I guess it happens. Picture taken this morning at the base of Pulama Pali (200 ft elevation). Aloha and thank you for viewing

what a "hot" picture!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!!
Okay, I won't say you are getting old. So am I.....Great capture. Glad you finally remembered the main equipment. Aloha
This is just so amazing to see. I showed it to my husband and told him we need to get busy and get our trip to Hawaii planned so I can see this in person. I may not go as close as you do though.
Wow, this is spectacular, Eroll. My screen just melted.
wow......what a glow..it must be very hot there.......you are really the best with those shots.........REAL HOT STUF......
Mate I would love to join you on a hike! Do you take a tripod too for shots like this?
The shot reminds me of Paul Simon's lyrics "...the Mississippi Delta was shinin' like a national guitar..." And that's what it looks like from high above. I do see a sort of guitar in your image. So maybe this can be...the Pali Lava Delta was shinin' like a national guitar..."
A wonderful capture, dear Errol, so much heat. Aloha and Hugs. Diane. xx
Don't worry till you start putting the engine oil in the fridge! Another searing shot.
Hot shot! I can do with some heat at the moment. It is freezing here!
Incredible!
Great shot. Love the flow and contrast.
jeez, be careful over there will ya? Beautiful shots you are getting, but be safe!
Amazing and fabulous image my Friend...bravissimo!VHugsxx Whylma
I can only try to imagine the humbling power of these flows. This is something I would love to see but sadly there are not that many active volcanoes in the middle of England.
blinkings...Altho a tripod would have been better, I used a monopod on this shot. Sometimes moving around in the dark on the uneven lava rocks can be a challenge. And yet there are times when a tripod is a must especially the far away shots. Thanks for asking
As always another spectacular shot ur so lucky to experience these views of mother nature at her best.
There is such a draw here...I feel like I must follow the path! This is magic...hypnotizing and so very interesting.
This is amazing! Great shot!
Wicked looking. Excellent shot!
Beautiful shot.
I thought you were going to tell us you left your camera on a rock and the lava surrounded it and you had to swing on a rope to save it - lol... hopefully that never has to happen - you're lucky someone didn't walk off with your camera - lol... and, I hope you didn't have anything on your camera that could be use against you like nude pictures - lol you got lucky you got your camera back = lol ...oh, super shot too!
This looks so amazing, awesome capture! :)
