Description

This view is, on the Atlantic Ocean side and the tower that dominates this view contains the dungeon, blueprint room, medieval armor room and on the top level – the chapel. This is the backside of where the drawbridge is. The middle section, with the 3 flying buttress supports, is the Great Hall. The left end is the kitchens, war room, dining room, library, indoor courtyard (with a glass roof), inventions room, American bedroom, medieval bedroom and the servants quarters. Details on the Hammond Castle, that John Hays Hammond Jr. built, can be read on my July 6, 2010 posting. Please keep in mind that this was his home. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Great POV of the castle, with all that wonderful stonework on display, Dana! I like those flying buttresses. I was thinking that they could replace the glass roof of the indoor courtyard with solar panels. Could save on or eliminate their electric bills, that is, if the castle uses electricity. Incidentally, this series reminds me of a woman I worked with many years ago, by the name of Jean Hammond.
