Description
"I believe that imperfection is more in keeping with human nature that perfection." This is what Rita Levi-Montalcini writes in her book "In praise of imperfection" of 1987.
Rita Levi-Montalcini is a sweet and nice "young woman" of 101 years, scientist, researcher and neurobiologist Italian. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1986!
I think that imperfection is reflected in all other things, also in this little white rose that was desired to grow in spite of its imperfections!

Great shot, good composition!
Beautiful in her old age.
Excellent floral study! The dark background sets off the rose beautifully.
Perfection is unattainable and subjective anyway, at least on a human level. I looked up Rita Levi-Montalcini. She is a remarkable woman. I love your imperfect rose! It has character and beauty. Excellent POV and capture against the black background! Very nicely done!
...ma che dici?!!!!! E' perfetta!(la rosa). Montalcini,l'adoro! Un grossissimo abbraccio.:) gea
Very beautiful and very nice!
Wonderful capture and motif, Maria. Well you know me :).. I love roses. And i agree about perfection, or lack of it. The most beautiful ones, they are not perfect. The most perfect ones, are not so beautiful. Goes with most.. roses.. humans... many things. Imperfections, create beauty, in my humble oppinion.
superbe sujet, splendide photo.
Excellent title, stuning close-up!
I agree that there is beauty in imperfection and this is a perfect example. Dana
