Description
I was walking in my (winter) garden early this morning when I saw the sun catching my Himalaya Palm at a great angle... Couldn't resist clicking off a few shots!
Thank you for popping in and for your great support in comments and favs on my upload "... and the moon by night."
Stay well!
Hugs

Outstanding capture Carin.
It's beautiful against the blue sky; what I really like, however, is that wrinkle in the fronds (like a pillow wrinkle!) that follows the curve of the shape of it. Nicely done!
a wonderful picture!!!!!!!
It can't be THAT cold, then, Carin! Superb!
WOW ! They have totally fantastic shapes, those palms. This is such a gorgeous shot Carin.
Andrea - this is a Himalayan Palm and survives in the very cold and snowy Himalayan Mountains!

Wonderful pov on this Carin, great shot. Also I love that you have a winter garden, hugs Jane xx
The light really brings the cool geometry of the frond to life!
I'm fond of fronds, and you did an excellent job with the POV and lighting effects in this shot, which also conveys the feeling of a handheld fan, Carin!
Well seen, good composition!
Wonderful POV and lighting. Reminds me of the feathers of an exotic bird or an aboriginal headdress.
"Just" a palm tree??? With this light and sharp detail--it's WAY better than "Just"---it's simply beautiful!!
Maybe just a palm frond, But you captured it very artistically. Wonderful image. :)
bonne photo!!
Just a palm!!! but what a beautiful composition
Well, dear, he reach till heaven, such great! Amazing POV.
Fantastic shot!
Wonderful! I had never heard of this palm plant. Cold weather... who would have ever thought a palm could survive the Himalayas? What a surprise.
It must grow in some pretty sheltered places in the Himalaya! Or maybe they have long winters there like yours ... you know ... five weeks or whatever. :P LOL! If they lived through three months of cold weather, somebody would have surely introduced them here! Whatever their habits, this is a gorgeous shot! I love this sort of palm leaf, and your shot is beautiful!
Oh Carin! Always the most beautiful of presentations, with a special touch! Exqusite subject, and so grand, it's sublime! Marvellous captured colours! A most delightful experience to regard this beauty!
That is a huge palm frond, it doesn't look too cold!!!!!
Looks so warm there! live
Beautiful! Reminds me of home (Florida). I will be up north for another 2 months. Dana
