This is an experiment on how an image is seen. Please leave constructive criticism. Not intended yet to be a gallery image, this render is to solicit your thoughts on the effect of this dark lily.

Tom, I like the effect a lot, however, the only bit bothering me is the fact that the flower is not anchored. It is 'hanging' in the air. I guess what I am suggesting is maybe to add the stem at the bottom. I like the contrast and light on the petals.

Somehow misterious as I keep looking this flower. Beauty and elegancy emerging from a dark. Almost bashful. I might would like to see a bit more details of the petals vein system but this is just my personal reference.
I'm with Tunde on the amount of detail on the petals. The dark lily is nice, and I wonder if you got more contrast and detail if it would lighten it too much. No answers here ... only a bit of wondering for your consideration.
