Description
Our 9 year old grand daughter, Tori, spent the day with us today, after early morning hockey practice and breakfast, it was out front and into the pond. This bull frog was the prize catch of the morning. We did remove the leach from the bull frogs leg. She also caught a couple small catfish - everything was returned to the pond - except the leach.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments.
They are very much appreciated.

Lovely picture of a great capture.
O my what a huge frog !!!! We don't have them here like that....wonderful done...
REALLY IMPRESSIVE!
WOW that's one big frog.
And, kissed? Great photo! RS
Fantastic capture on Tori's part and yours for the picture. I can see the leach on the right rear leg. Glad you got rid of the leach (makes me think of Bogart in the African Queen...)
bonne image!!
Wow, the bullfrog definitely has a disconcerted expression on its face, most likely the result of being placed in this most humiliating position, Dana. In any event, a great shot of Tori's hand grasping the humongous amphibian, my friend.
He seems awfully calm for being held like that! What a gorgeous huge creature he is. Excellent capture!
ribbet, ribbet---bet he was glad to get back in the pond!!
Cool capture! No pun intended. :)
wonderful capture!!
Cool photoshot.
very handsome frog
Ugh! I HATE leeches!! We have had problems with frogs bringing them into the koi pond from time to time, but fortunately nothing too bad. Don't have any THIS big in the pond. Glad your granddaughter had fun. Not often you see a girl willing to pick up a frog!
Tori is very brave, I would give it a miss :o) Great pic!!!
Amazing shot, Dana!
Bullfrogs, no matter what, always look so incredibly patient and unimpressed; and they're incredibly interesting creatures! I love the full stretch of his legs and the rather Buddha-like expression he's wearing. As for the leech, well...those little vampires are kind of interesting as well, and they've actually got recognized medicinal uses; they're a nuisance but I'll take them to bedbugs and ticks any day! But that's a ramble for another time! This is a marvelous, fun shot! Wonderfully done!
wow he looks big ! great shot
LOVE IT ;-)
OMG that is one big bullfrog very cool stuff.
