Description
ABIS – Project Hercules
With NASA’s new Orbital Shuttle programme now up and running with Atlantis, Discovery and Endeavour safely in space and docked with the International Space Station, and with the ARES1 and the CRC Crew Return Capsule programme now fully tested and issued with their Certificates of Aero-Space Worthiness, Robert Carter knows that it is now time to get the next phase of his programme to get America back into space out of the Vehicle Assembly Building and onto the launch pad at Kennedy Space Centre for the test flights to begin.
Carter knows that NASA will need a booster vastly different from the ARES 1 to get the elements of the new spacecraft he hopes to build for America into Earth orbit. He knows he will need a booster not only capable of handling both heavy payloads but super heavy payloads as well – what NASA therefore needs, is a “Super Booster”.
Today marks the start of the picture set in my on going ABIS (America Back Into Space) series.

"Who left the Saturn V out in the rain..? it's shrunk!" :) Great to see ABIS continueing at a pace. A superbooster, yep! I think that might do it.
